I'm not always in the South but when I am, it's usually for something special! Last week, Peri-Peri opened their first branch at Vermosa and I was lucky enough to be there for the launch! Peri-Peri Vermosa is the very first branch with a Fly-Thru! This way customers can just pop in and out speedily and have their chicken to-go! The fly-thru is also super scenic with a greenery wall and wall art by a local artist!
But if you're not in a rush, I highly recommend parking and dining in! The interiors are a festive feast for friends and family to dine, there's a lot of spicy decors that totally makes dining there feel like a fiesta! A 360 exPERIence! Literally, there is a giant chili pepper in the main dining area. They have a sizable area for al fresco dining with proper shade and ventilation, perfect for the times. Although I've tried Peri-Peri before and have been a huge fan of their chicken, during the event I was able to try their Salted Egg Pica-Pica Platter (with fries, chicken skin, and deep-fried jalapeno) and it was a REVELATION. I couldn't stop snacking on this since the event started. A MUST-TRY on your next Peri-Peri trip! The R&B Milk Tea is also super good, a really good way to end a meal! During the event I had the chicken and ribs platter (best of both worlds!) and a side of rice, bacon macaroni and cheese, and an egg tart! YUMMM!
One thing that makes Peri-Peri so unique is its assortment of sauces that range from mild to wild HOT! They have a total of 8 dipping sauces to complement your chicken or ribs! But they also have a Filipino take like the Spiced Vinegar! Being a vanilla girl, I'm not so big on the spice but I did love the Cajun Remoulade and Garlic Brew (both on the mild scale)! The best part is that you can take home the dipping sauces since they've prepped it in takeout bottles!
