Hosaku: Conveyor Belt Samgyup Grill at SM North EDSA

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

I, like you, am always in the look out for great unli-buffets in Manila. Hosaku Asian Grill in SM North EDSA is a must-visit for any Manila foodie! I've eaten here twice and haven't been disappointed so far, the experience is definitely worth the money.

What makes Hosaku different from other unlimited buffets is their futuristic conveyor belts that continuously revolves unlimited food. You just have to keep on getting and refilling your grill with meats and side dishes of your choice.

Upon ordering, they'll serve you up a big platter to put on your grill and some water and unlimited iced tea or sago't gulaman. The platter is not refillable because once you finish that it's all up to you on what extras to get from the conveyor belt. Always on the rotating belt is a wide mix of sides, extra meats, and dessert. The food on the belt is covered to avoid any contamination.

Food is pretty standard samgyupsal food but the wide selection is a plus. The flavoured, marinated meats are placed in color coded containers, I personally recommend the green ones (Pinoy Garlic, I think?) but they also have Satay, Laksa, BBQ, and other flavours to choose from. Sides include sushi, lumpia, eggplant with sauce (I LOVE THIS ONE!), and more.

Hosaku could have been any other unlimited samgyupsal grill but the conveyor belt makes all the difference. It rids you from continuously asking the waiters for more meat and sides, which I personally dislike because it's like asking for alms LOL. And that added feel of having food revolving around you is heavenly!

Prices for adults range from P650 on weekends and P550 for weekday lunch. Drop by their Facebook page for a more specific list of prices. I think the price is incredibly reasonable for the value you're getting and the overall experience is worth it! I highly recommend Hosaku Asian Grill!

Make sure you call in advance to receive a seat or to check if the conveyor belts are working because the last time my mom was supposed to go there, they weren't #sad but I guess that comes with the territory. It is a machine after all.
